| Education construction work underway in all ten regions

With the commencement of works at Kangaroo Valley Public School in the Illawarra and South East region on 29 July, there are now on-site construction works occurring at schools in all ten regions across the state. | Social Housing building activity ahead of the pack

| Housing Minister, David Borger, this week reported that over 60% of the Stage One social housing program has already been committed in NSW with construction on 88 new housing projects commencing this week and a further 98 under construction. | New Taskforce Policy on Consideration of Social Housing Projects under the Nation Building and Jobs Plan Act

| The Taskforce has agreed that, given the timeframes required for determination, the volume of projects to be built and the fact that a guaranteed approval is not possible under Part 4 of the EPA Act, any social housing project submitted by Housing NSW that does not meet the requirements for ‘development without consent’ in the Infrastructure SEPP will be considered by the Taskforce.
