The Australian Window Association (AWA), representing the national window industry, has been working with the Building Products Innovation Council (BPIC) and the Housing Industry Association (HIA) to assess industry capability for the delivery of the glazing requirements of the Nation Building funded social housing and education projects in NSW.  Read more

Housing NSW and TAFE are currently working together to provide on-the-job training in residential construction to carpentry, plumbing and landscaping pre-apprentices. Read more

We are now into our ninth month since the Nation Building Economic Stimulus Plan was announced by the Australian Government and to outline achievements, a new quarterly Housing NSW Stimulus e-newsletter has been developed.  Read more
First Primary Schools for the 21st Century project finished
Ebor Public School, a small school in the Northern Tablelands was allocated $250,000 in Round 1 of the Primary Schools for the 21st Century component of the Building the Education Revolution program.  Read more
Housing Tenant Relocation Processes
Many of the 6,000 social housing homes being built with Nation Building funds and the additional 3,000 being built with NSW Government funding are on existing Housing NSW sites. As a consequence, some tenants needed to be relocated.  Read more
Supporting jobs in Southern Sydney
Heathcote Public School will receive more than $2 million through the Australian Government’s Building the Education Revolution program to modernise school facilities. Builders, Jervis Constructions have hired 11 workers for their Nation Building work. Read more
